Ecommerce Tax Accountants
Your ecommerce tax, handled properly.
Selling online comes with tax obligations that most general accountants handle badly — marketplace VAT, settlement reconciliations, multiple income streams. DG Accountancy works with UK online sellers every day. Fixed monthly fee, ACCA-qualified, and questions answered the day you ask them.
- Your VAT threshold monitored — no unexpected registration surprises
- Marketplace payouts reconciled monthly, not left until year-end
- Your tax bill visible months before HMRC sends the reminder
- One accountant throughout — Daniel, not a rotating team of juniors
No long-term contract. If it is not working after three months, you leave with clean books and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?
Selling online but drowning in the tax side?
Ecommerce looks simple until the accounting starts. Marketplace payouts do not match your bank balance. VAT gets complicated the moment you cross a threshold or start selling into Europe. Your Self Assessment has multiple income streams pulling in different directions. Most accountants file what you give them. Very few understand how the platforms actually pay out.
- Hours lost trying to reconcile marketplace payouts against bank statements
- No clear picture of your VAT position until the quarter is already over
- Tax bill arrives as a surprise because no one flagged it was coming
What sorted looks like
Clean books every month. Your VAT position visible before deadlines, not after. A tax bill you knew about in advance. And an accountant who already understands how Xero connects to your sales channels — so you are not spending thirty minutes explaining your setup before getting a useful answer.
- Monthly bookkeeping keeps marketplace records reconciled and current throughout the year
- Quarterly VAT compliance with your threshold monitored and obligations flagged ahead of time
- Tax planning throughout the year so your bill is never a last-minute shock
- Fixed monthly fee agreed upfront — no surprise invoices, no hourly rates
What clients say about working with us
Online sellers and self-employed professionals across the UK — here is what they found when they stopped doing it themselves.
Absolutely recommend Daniel for all and any accounts related matter. Would use his expertise again. He is the most amazing person, very professional, explaining every detail meticulously in order to finalise our accounts. A huge thank you Daniel.
Huge thanks to Daniel for helping ourselves with our taxes! Being self employed means we all have to do this ourselves which is just not possible on top of our work load. Thanks again! We will be using you again!

His knowledge in tax law and what can be used for expenses really helped with saving money where I could. Why ecommerce sellers choose us over a general accountant
Three things that make a noticeable difference when your accountant actually understands online retail.
No explaining how online retail works
Marketplace settlement reports, FBA fees, referral charges, platform-specific VAT rules — these are not things you need to walk through before getting a useful answer. DG Accountancy works with online sellers routinely. The setup conversation is about your business, not a tutorial on how Xero connects to your sales channels.
Your tax position is always visible
Monthly bookkeeping means your numbers are current, not historical. Corporation Tax and Self Assessment liabilities are estimated throughout the year — not calculated in January when the deadline is already close. If your VAT threshold is approaching, you will know about it in advance, not after the fact.
Questions answered the same day
DG Accountancy is consistently reviewed for fast, clear communication. When a platform changes its payout schedule or you are unsure whether a new product category affects your VAT position, you get an answer the day you ask — not a holding email and a callback next week.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Most clients are fully onboarded within a week. The process is designed to require as little from you as possible.
Book a free discovery call
A short conversation about your business, your platforms, and what is currently not working. No sales pitch — just an honest assessment of whether DG Accountancy is the right fit for your setup.
Receive your fixed-fee quote
A clear, written quote tailored to your business structure and the services you actually need. Everything is agreed before anything starts — no surprises later.
Xero connected and onboarded
Your Xero account is set up (or tidied up if it already exists), bank feeds connected, and sales channel integrations configured. You provide access; the setup work is handled. Most clients are fully onboarded within a week.
Compliance runs, you focus on selling
VAT filed, books reconciled monthly, tax liability visible throughout the year. You get on with running the business. The parts you have been doing yourself, or avoiding entirely, are handled — which is, frankly, the way it should be.
“Professional service. This company does my accounts every year and i never have to worry about it. Speedy as well. I am a very happy customer.”
Things ecommerce sellers usually ask first
Do you understand how marketplace platforms actually pay out — settlement reports, FBA fees, referral charges?
Yes. DG Accountancy works with Amazon sellers and marketplace traders regularly. Settlement reports, FBA fee reconciliations and the mismatch between platform payouts and bank credits are part of the standard workflow — not something that needs explaining from scratch. Xero integrates directly with the most common sales channels to automate the bulk of the reconciliation.
What does it cost and what is included?
Pricing is a fixed monthly fee, tailored to your business structure, turnover and the services you need. Limited company packages start from £79 per month, with the first three months at 50% off. VAT returns, payroll, Self Assessment and management accounts are included at the relevant tier. Everything is agreed in writing before you start — no hourly rates, no surprise invoices at year-end.
My books are in a mess and I am behind on VAT. Can you still take me on?
Yes, and it is a common starting point. Catch-up bookkeeping is quoted separately and agreed upfront, so you know exactly what it will cost to get everything current before the ongoing monthly service begins. Once the backlog is cleared, the monthly process keeps things clean going forward. The first step is a conversation about where things currently stand.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. There is no minimum term beyond the initial setup period. If DG Accountancy is not working for you, you can leave with your records in order and nothing outstanding. The expectation is that the service is good enough that you will not want to — but the choice remains yours.
I sell across multiple platforms — Amazon, eBay, Etsy and my own website. Can you handle all of them?
Yes. Multi-channel ecommerce is more straightforward in Xero than most sellers expect once the integrations are set up correctly. Each platform’s payouts are reconciled separately, and the consolidated picture is visible in a single set of accounts. VAT across channels is treated correctly from the outset.
How far ahead will I know what my tax bill is going to be?
With monthly bookkeeping, your Corporation Tax or Self Assessment liability can be estimated throughout the year — not just in the weeks before the deadline. If a significant payment is coming, you will know months ahead, which leaves enough time to plan around it rather than scramble to find the cash.
