Better Value Than Other Accountants

Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your tax bill will be?

Most limited company directors in Paignton are running their business, not monitoring their accounting deadlines. The year-end creeps up, the books are not quite where they should be, and there is a nagging uncertainty about what Corporation Tax will look like this time. That is not a personal failing. It is what happens when compliance takes a back seat to actually running things.

  • Year-end accounts left to the last minute with incomplete records
  • No clear view of your Corporation Tax liability until it is overdue
  • VAT deadlines, confirmation statements and payroll managed across too many reminders

What a well-run company looks like

When the accounts are current and the compliance calendar is managed for you, your company runs on schedule and nothing lands as a shock. That is the baseline every director should expect.

  • Year-end accounts prepared from tidy, current records — no scramble
  • Your Corporation Tax liability visible months before the payment date
  • VAT, payroll and Companies House filings handled on a single fixed fee
  • Fixed monthly pricing agreed upfront — no surprise invoices at year-end

Turned Around Fast, No Corners Cut

“I worked with Daniel at DG Accountancy to review and sign off my sole trader accounts for a time-sensitive mortgage application, and the service was excellent. Daniel was extremely responsive, clear, and professional throughout. He understood exactly what the lender required, turned everything around very quickly without cutting corners. Communication was straightforward and reassuring, which made a potentially stressful part of the mortgage process much easier. Fees were transparent, turnaround was fast, and the work was done thoroughly and accurately. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Daniel to anyone needing reliable accountancy support, particularly where deadlines really matter.”

Great Advice, Rates Better Than Others

“Daniel was very helpful with my books and tax return. He offered great advise and insight in how to manage my books better and more efficiently. His knowledge in tax law and what can be used for expenses really helped with saving money where I could. As a sole trader it’s really hard to keep on top of things and have now asked Dan to do monthly books for me. His rates are extremely good compared to some other accountants out there and I get more for my money.”

“Huge thanks to Daniel for helping ourselves with our taxes! Being self employed means we all have to do this ourselves which is just not possible on top of our work load. Thanks again! We will be using you again!”

Why DG Accountancy

Why Paignton directors choose DG Accountancy

There are plenty of accountants in Devon. Here is what makes the difference in practice.

🎯

Twenty Years Across Real Industries

Daniel has worked in airlines, construction, manufacturing and entertainment — not just in practice. That means he already understands the pressures a growing limited company faces before you explain them. You get seasoned judgement, not a junior working through a checklist.

Questions Answered the Day You Ask

DG Accountancy is built around responsiveness. You will not spend a week chasing a reply to a straightforward question about your tax position. Fast, clear answers are part of the service — not an upgrade.

☁️

Your Numbers Visible in Real Time

Everything runs through Xero, connected to your bank feed and updated continuously. You always know where your accounts stand, what VAT is due and what your Corporation Tax position looks like — without having to ask.

Getting started

Up and running in four straightforward steps

Most new clients are fully onboarded within a week. The process is designed to require as little from you as possible while getting everything in order.

1

Book a free discovery call

A short, honest conversation about your company, your current set-up and what you actually need. No sales pitch — just a straightforward discussion about whether this is the right fit.

2

Receive your fixed-fee quote

You get a clear, written quote scoped to your business structure and the services you need. Everything is agreed upfront, so the price you see is the price you pay — month after month.

3

Onboarding and Xero setup

Daniel sets up or tidies your Xero account, connects your bank feeds and collects the information needed to take over the accounts. Most of this requires very little from you — it is handled at this end.

4

Compliance runs, you focus on growth

Deadlines are met, VAT and payroll run on schedule, and your accounts are current. When something in your tax position or business structure is worth discussing, that conversation comes to you — you do not need to go looking for it.

Questions

Things directors usually ask before signing up

Do you handle both the year-end accounts and the Corporation Tax return, or are they separate?+

Both are included together. The statutory accounts are prepared to Companies House standard and the CT600 is filed with HMRC as part of the same process. You receive a clear summary of the Corporation Tax due and the payment deadline, well in advance of the due date — not the week before.

What does a limited company package actually cost, and what is included?+

Limited company packages start from £79 per month on the Start plan, rising to £695 per month on Scale, depending on the level of support, payroll headcount and financial reporting you need. Year-end accounts and Corporation Tax are included across all tiers. VAT filing, payroll and Self Assessment are included from the Operate plan upwards, or available as add-ons on Start. All fees are agreed upfront in writing — there are no hourly rates or year-end invoices waiting in the background.

My books are behind and my last accountant left things in a mess. Can you still help?+

That is not an uncommon starting point. Catch-up bookkeeping is a normal part of onboarding for clients who come across mid-year or after a change of accountant. The scope is assessed during the discovery call and any catch-up cost is quoted separately and agreed before any work begins — so you know exactly what it will take to get back on track.

Am I tied in for a minimum term?+

There is no long-term contract. Services are provided on a rolling monthly basis, and you can leave with reasonable notice. If you decide within the first three months that it is not working, you leave with your books in order and nothing further owed. The intention is to be worth keeping — not to make leaving difficult.

Can you take over from my current accountant mid-year without disrupting things?+

Yes — mid-year transfers are handled regularly. The professional clearance process is standard, and Daniel liaises directly with your previous accountant to obtain the information needed. Most transfers complete with no gap in service and no action required from you beyond signing the relevant authority letters.

Will I know what my Corporation Tax bill is going to be before I have to pay it?+

That is part of what the service is for. With bookkeeping maintained throughout the year, your approximate Corporation Tax position is visible on an ongoing basis — not revealed at year-end. Where tax planning opportunities exist, such as timing of expenses or director remuneration structure, those conversations happen in advance, when they can still make a difference.
