Common questions about payroll in Torbay

Do you handle CIS payroll for construction businesses in Torbay?+

Yes. CIS is handled as part of the payroll service for clients who pay subcontractors under the Construction Industry Scheme. A catch-up exercise is costed separately before any work starts, so you know exactly what it will take to get back to a clean position. Once it is sorted, the ongoing monthly fee applies as normal.

Is there a long-term contract or notice period?+

No long-term contract. Monthly rolling arrangements are the default. If you decide to leave, you give reasonable notice and you take away clean, complete payroll records. You will not be left scrambling to reconstruct your own data.

Do you handle auto-enrolment and pension submissions?+

Auto-enrolment duties — assessing worker eligibility, enrolling eligible employees, calculating contributions and submitting to your pension provider — are part of a properly managed payroll service. If you do not yet have a pension scheme in place, that can be set up as part of onboarding.

Can you advise on the most tax-efficient director salary and dividend split?+

Yes. For limited company directors, the optimal split between salary and dividends changes with each tax year and depends on your personal circumstances.
