Sound familiar?

Company admin piling up with no one owning it.

Most limited company directors know the confirmation statement exists. Fewer know exactly when it is due, what needs updating, and what happens if it is missed. Companies House does not send reminders that are easy to act on, and the £3,000 late-filing penalty for accounts is entirely avoidable — yet it catches directors out every year.

  • Confirmation statement deadline missed or nearly missed last year
  • Unsure what needs updating at Companies House after a change in directors or address
  • Home address listed as registered office, visible on the public register

What handled looks like

Your statutory calendar is tracked, your filings go in on time, and any changes to your company details are recorded accurately at Companies House. You get a notification when something is due — not a penalty notice after the fact.

  • Confirmation statement tracked and filed before the deadline each year
  • Director, address and share changes registered at Companies House promptly
  • Registered office service available — your home address stays off the public record
  • Fixed monthly fee covering secretarial duties — no unexpected bills for routine filings

What Torbay directors say about us

From first-time limited company directors to established businesses, clients come for the compliance and stay for the peace of mind it brings.

★★★★★

I worked with Daniel at DG Accountancy to review and sign off my sole trader accounts for a time-sensitive mortgage application, and the service was excellent. Daniel was extremely responsive, clear, and professional throughout. He understood exactly what the lender required, turned everything around very quickly without cutting corners. Communication was straightforward and reassuring, which made a potentially stressful part of the mortgage process much easier. Fees were transparent, turnaround was fast, and the work was done thoroughly and accurately. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Daniel to anyone needing reliable accountancy support, particularly where deadlines really matter.

What you get

Everything a limited company needs to stay compliant

Company secretarial work is rarely urgent until it suddenly is. These services keep your company records accurate, your filings on time, and your obligations visible.

01

Confirmation Statements Filed On Time

Your annual confirmation statement is tracked and submitted before the deadline each year. Any changes to directors, shareholders, registered office or SIC codes are noted and filed accurately. You will not discover a missed deadline from a Companies House warning letter.

Included in Grow and Scale plans
02

Company Formations and Registrations

Starting a new limited company in Torbay? The registration is handled cleanly from the outset — correct SIC code, share structure, and director appointments filed at Companies House on day one. Getting the structure right at the start is considerably easier than correcting it later.

Included across all Ltd plans
03

Registered Office and Statutory Records

Use DG Accountancy’s address as your registered office and keep your home address off the public record. Statutory registers are maintained accurately, and any HMRC or Companies House correspondence is forwarded promptly. Which is, frankly, how it should work.

Rates Extremely Good, More For Your Money

“Daniel was very helpful with my books and tax return. He offered great advise and insight in how to manage my books better and more efficiently. His knowledge in tax law and what can be used for expenses really helped with saving money where I could. As a sole trader it’s really hard to keep on top of things and have now asked Dan to do monthly books for me. His rates are extremely good compared to some other accountants out there and I get more for my money.”

“Huge thanks to Daniel for helping ourselves with our taxes! Being self employed means we all have to do this ourselves which is just not possible on top of our work load. Thanks again! We will be using you again!”

Why DG Accountancy

What makes this different from any other firm

Company secretarial work is routine — but only if someone is actually tracking it. Here is what that looks like in practice.

📋

Your deadlines are tracked, not yours

Confirmation statements, annual accounts and Companies House filings are monitored and actioned without you needing to remember them. The statutory calendar is managed by Daniel, not delegated back to you to chase. The first you hear about a deadline is when it has been met.

Answers the day you ask

Changed a director? Moved address? Not sure whether a shareholder change needs filing? Questions about your company structure get answered the same day — not three days later when the window to act has narrowed. DG Accountancy is known for fast replies, and that matters when Companies House deadlines are involved.

🎯

Twenty years across varied industries

Daniel has worked across airlines, construction, manufacturing and entertainment — which means he has seen how company structures evolve as businesses grow, and knows what to file, when, and why it matters. You get seasoned judgement on your company records, not a junior working from a checklist.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Most clients are fully onboarded within a week. The process is straightforward — we have done it enough times to have removed the friction.

1

Book a free discovery call

We talk through your company structure, what is currently filed, and what you need covered. No sales pitch — just an honest conversation about whether we are the right fit for your business.

2

Receive your fixed-fee quote

You get a clear, written quote covering exactly which secretarial and compliance services are included. Everything is agreed upfront — no ambiguity about what triggers an extra charge.

3

We gather what we need

We request access to your Companies House account and any existing statutory records. Most of the information gathering is handled by us. You do not need to prepare a presentation of your filing history.

4

Compliance runs in the background

From here, your confirmation statements, Companies House filings and statutory records are handled without you having to think about them. You are notified when something has been done, rather than reminded that something is due. Which is considerably the better arrangement.

Questions

Things Torbay directors usually ask first

What does company secretarial actually cover — is it just the confirmation statement?+

The confirmation statement is the most time-sensitive piece, but company secretarial work also includes maintaining your statutory registers, filing changes to directors, shareholders and registered office at Companies House, and keeping your company details accurate between filings. For new companies, it starts with getting the formation right — correct share structure, SIC code and director appointments from day one.

How much does it cost, and is it included in my monthly package?+

For limited company clients on the Grow or Scale plans, the confirmation statement is included in the monthly fee. For clients on Start or Operate, it is available as a clear add-on at a fixed price — agreed before any work is done. Registered office service is priced separately. There are no hourly rates and no surprise invoices for routine filings.

My Companies House records are a bit of a mess — can you sort them out?+

This is not unusual. Directors often change address, add shareholders or update their trading name without realising a filing was needed. We review your current Companies House record, identify anything that needs correcting or back-filing, and give you a clear picture of what is outstanding before we start. Catch-up work is quoted upfront.

Am I locked in to a long contract?+

No. There is no minimum term beyond the initial onboarding period. If the arrangement is not working, you give notice and we transfer your records cleanly. Your Companies House access, statutory registers and filing history remain yours — nothing is held back.

Can I use DG Accountancy’s address as my registered office in Torbay?+

Yes. Using a professional registered office address keeps your home address off the public Companies House register, which many directors prefer. HMRC and Companies House correspondence sent to the registered address is forwarded to you promptly. The address is based in Torquay, TQ1 1JX, which satisfies the England and Wales registered office requirement.
