Sound familiar?
Not sure if you are even setting this up correctly?
Most people forming their first limited company do not know what they do not know. Sole trader or limited company — which actually makes sense for your income level? How should shares be allocated? What records does HMRC expect from day one? These are not obvious questions, and getting them wrong at the start costs more to fix later.
- Unsure whether a limited company is actually the right structure for you
- Company registered but no idea what needs to happen next with HMRC
- No accounting system in place, so records are already falling behind
What a proper start looks like
Company formation is the easy part. What matters is everything around it — the right structure, the right registrations, and books set up so you are not scrambling at year end. That is what gets sorted here.
- Structure reviewed before registration so you are not reorganising six months in
- HMRC registration, Corporation Tax and PAYE set up correctly from the start
- Xero connected and bank feeds running before you take your first payment
- Fixed monthly fee agreed upfront — no surprises, no hourly billing

Everything a new limited company needs
Company formation, HMRC registrations, cloud accounting setup, and ongoing compliance — covered under one fixed monthly fee from the outset.
Limited Company Registration
Your company is registered at Companies House with the right structure, share allocation and director details from the start. Registered office, memorandum and articles — all handled. You receive your certificate of incorporation and know exactly what to do next.
Included as standardTax Registrations and First-Year Setup
Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT registrations are handled where applicable, so HMRC knows your company exists and what it owes from day one. Your first year obligations — confirmation statement, year-end accounts, CT600 — are tracked and filed on time. Nothing falls through the gap between formation and your first deadline.
Included as standardCloud Accounting From Day One
Your Xero account is set up, your bank feed connected, and your chart of accounts configured for your business type before you take your first payment. Monthly bookkeeping keeps records current throughout the year. No year-end scramble, no shoeboxes.
Xero Bronze PartnerConsistently rated five stars on Google
Eight verified reviews, all five stars. Clients range from sole traders going limited for the first time to established directors and landlords.

Took Tax Off Our Overloaded Plate

What makes this different from a formation agent
Anyone can click through Companies House on your behalf. What matters is the advice before, the setup after, and the accountant who stays with you.
Structure Advice Before You Register
Choosing between sole trader and limited company, or deciding how to allocate shares, has real tax implications that are much harder to undo later. Daniel reviews your situation before any paperwork is filed, so the structure fits your income, your plans and your tax position from the outset. Formation agents do not do this.
Cloud Setup Before You Trade
Most new directors underestimate how quickly the records pile up if there is no system in place from the start. Xero is configured, bank feeds connected and bookkeeping running before you take your first payment. Your first year-end will not be a reconstruction exercise.
One Accountant, No Handoffs
You work directly with Daniel throughout — formation, first-year filings, ongoing compliance and any questions in between. No juniors picking up your file, no account managers relaying messages. The person who registered your company is the person who files your accounts.
Up and running in four steps
From your first conversation to your company being registered and your books live, most clients are fully set up within a week.
Book a free discovery call
You talk through your plans, your current situation and what you need from an accountant. Daniel will tell you honestly whether a limited company is the right move and what it will cost. No sales pitch — just a straight conversation.
Receive your fixed-fee quote
You get a clear, written quote covering formation and your ongoing monthly accounting. Everything is agreed upfront. No hourly rates, no surprise invoices when your first deadline arrives.
Company registered and cloud set up
Daniel handles the Companies House registration, HMRC notifications and Xero setup. You confirm a few details and provide ID — that is largely it. Most clients are fully onboarded within a week of signing.
Trade with confidence
Your compliance runs on a schedule you do not have to manage. Deadlines are tracked, filings go in on time, and your books are current every month. Questions get answered the day you ask them. Which is, frankly, the way it should be.
“Professional service. This company does my accounts every year and i never have to worry about it. Speedy as well. I am a very happy customer.”
Things people ask before forming a company
Do you actually register the company, or do I have to deal with Companies House myself?
Daniel handles the full Companies House registration on your behalf — company name check, memorandum and articles of association, share structure, director appointments and registered office. You confirm the details and provide proof of identity. The certificate of incorporation comes to you. You do not need to navigate the Companies House portal.
What does company formation cost, and what is included in the monthly fee?
Formation is included within the Start package, which begins from £79 per month — or £39.50 for the first three months under the current 50% introductory offer. The monthly fee covers your year-end accounts, Corporation Tax return, and Companies House filing. VAT returns, payroll and Self Assessment are available as add-ons or included in higher tiers. Everything is quoted and agreed in writing before you commit.
I have already been trading for a few months without proper records. Is it too late to sort this out?
It is not too late, though the further back the records need to go, the more catch-up work is involved. Daniel will assess what exists, identify what is missing and reconstruct the bookkeeping from bank statements and invoices where needed. Catch-up work is quoted separately and transparently — you will know the cost before anything starts.
Is there a minimum contract period, and what happens if I want to leave?
There is no long-term lock-in. DG Accountancy operates on rolling monthly arrangements. If it is not the right fit, you give notice, and you leave with tidy books, all filed returns, and everything you need to hand to a new accountant. Nothing is withheld.
Can you advise on whether a limited company actually makes financial sense for my situation before I commit?
Yes — and this is worth doing before registration rather than after. Whether incorporation makes sense depends on your income level, how much you plan to draw as salary versus dividends, and your personal tax position. Daniel goes through this on the discovery call so you make an informed decision, not one based on what everyone else seems to be doing.
When do I need to register for VAT after forming my limited company?
Mandatory VAT registration is triggered when your taxable turnover exceeds £90,000 in any rolling 12-month period. You can also register voluntarily below that threshold, which can be beneficial depending on your customer base and suppliers. Your VAT threshold is monitored as part of the ongoing service — you will not cross it without being aware in advance.
