Sound familiar?

Still not sure what your tax bill will be?

Running a business online means the compliance does not take care of itself. VAT deadlines, Self Assessment, Corporation Tax, payroll — each one has its own due date and its own consequences for missing it. Most business owners either handle it themselves at the cost of evenings and weekends, or rely on an accountant who is difficult to reach and harder to understand.

  • Tax bill arriving as a surprise because no one flagged it earlier
  • Accountant slow to reply, leaving you to guess what happens next
  • Financial jargon in every email — never quite sure where you actually stand

What sorted looks like

Your compliance runs on schedule, your tax position is visible months in advance, and when you have a question it gets answered the same day. Which is, frankly, the way it should be.

  • Your tax bill calculated and communicated well ahead of the due date
  • Questions answered the day you ask — no chasing, no waiting days
  • Plain-English explanations so you always know where you stand
  • One fixed monthly fee agreed upfront — no invoice surprises

Why DG Accountancy

What makes the difference in practice

There are plenty of online accountants. The difference is usually felt in the first week — when a question goes unanswered, or an email arrives that requires a decoder.

🎯

Twenty Years Across Real Industries

Daniel has worked in airlines, construction, manufacturing and entertainment — not just accountancy firms. That cross-sector background means he already understands how your business generates revenue, where the costs tend to hide, and what HMRC is likely to ask about. You will not spend your onboarding call explaining how your industry works.

Replies Arrive the Same Day

DG Accountancy is built around responsiveness because slow replies cost business owners time and create unnecessary anxiety. Questions get answered the day you ask them — not queued behind a ticket system. If something time-sensitive lands in your inbox, you will know about it quickly.

☁️

Fully Online, Always Up to Date

Everything runs through Xero — bank feeds connected, records reconciled monthly, filings prepared from live data. There are no shoeboxes of receipts, no delays waiting for books to be ‘opened’, and no year-end scramble because the accounts are current throughout. Accessible from anywhere, at any time.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Most new clients are fully onboarded within a week. The process is straightforward by design — because starting with a new accountant should not itself be a project.

1

Book a free discovery call

A short conversation about your business, your current setup and what you need from an accountant. No sales pitch — just an honest discussion about whether this is the right fit. You will leave the call knowing exactly what happens next.

2

Receive your fixed-fee quote

A clear, written quote tailored to your business structure and the services you need. Everything is agreed upfront — no ambiguity about what is included and no surprises on the invoice later.

3

Onboarding and Xero setup

Your Xero account is set up (or tidied up if you already have one), bank feeds are connected, and everything needed to get started is gathered. You do very little. Most clients are fully onboarded within a week.

4

Ongoing support, nothing to chase

Compliance runs on schedule, questions get answered promptly, and you receive proactive updates when something worth knowing comes up. The parts of running a business that used to follow you home largely stop doing that.

Questions

Things people usually ask before signing up

Do you actually work with businesses like mine, or is this a general practice that takes anyone?+

DG Accountancy works with limited company directors, sole traders, contractors, property investors, e-commerce sellers and professional services firms across the UK. Daniel’s background spans airlines, construction, manufacturing and entertainment, so the practice is genuinely broad rather than generalist. If your situation is unusual, that tends to make it more interesting rather than less straightforward to advise on.

What does it actually cost, and what is included?+

Pricing is a fixed monthly fee agreed before you start — no hourly rates, no bill that varies month to month. Limited company packages start from £79 per month and sole trader packages from £41 per month. Each package sets out exactly what is covered, and anything outside scope is quoted separately before work begins. The first three months currently carry a 50% discount.

My books are behind and not in great shape. Is that a problem?+

It is a common starting point, not a dealbreaker. Catch-up bookkeeping is handled as part of onboarding, and the cost is agreed upfront so there are no surprises. Most clients arrive with records in some state of disarray and leave onboarding with everything current and properly structured.

Am I locked into a long-term contract?+

No long-term contract is required. If it is not working after three months, you can leave with clean, up-to-date books and nothing further owed. The expectation is that the service earns its place each month, not that a contract traps you in it.

Everything is online — how do I know my records and documents are secure?+

Client records are managed through Xero and shared via secure file transfer — not email attachments or unencrypted folders. DG Accountancy is supervised by HMRC for Anti-Money Laundering purposes and holds professional indemnity insurance with AXA XL up to £250,000. The same obligations that apply to high-street practices apply online.

Will I actually know what my tax bill is going to be before it is due?+

That is the intention. With books kept current throughout the year, your Corporation Tax or Self Assessment liability is calculated and communicated well ahead of the payment deadline — not handed to you as a bill with three weeks to find the funds. Tax planning conversations happen as part of the ongoing relationship, not as a last-minute exercise.
