Sound familiar?
Not sure what your accountant should actually cost?
Limited company directors often have no clear idea what they are paying for or whether it represents fair value. Some accountants charge hourly without telling you until the work is done. Others bundle everything into an opaque annual fee with no breakdown. You end up either overpaying for things you do not need, or discovering too late that something important was not included.
- Unexpected invoices arriving after the year-end work is already filed
- No clarity on whether VAT, payroll or Self Assessment is included or extra
- Chasing your accountant for answers and waiting days for a response
What a predictable accountancy fee looks like
Four fixed monthly packages built for limited companies at different stages — Start, Operate, Grow and Scale. Every fee is agreed in writing before anything starts, with a clear list of what is and is not included. No hourly rates. No year-end surprises.
- Your fee is fixed and agreed upfront — no invoice shock after year-end
- Each package lists exactly what is included, clearly and in plain English
- Questions answered the same day — no chasing, no waiting until next week
- 50% off the monthly fee for your first three months across all packages
What limited company clients say
Directors who switched to fixed-fee accountancy tend to describe the same thing: fewer surprises, clearer numbers, and considerably less time spent worrying about compliance.
Absolutely recommend Daniel for all and any accounts related matter. Would use his expertise again. He is the most amazing person, very professional, explaining every detail meticulously in order to finalise our accounts. A huge thank you Daniel.
Professional service. This company does my accounts every year and i never have to worry about it. Speedy as well. I am a very happy customer.
What your monthly limited company fee covers
Every package is built around what a limited company director actually needs — compliance sorted, tax planned ahead, and advisory support that scales as you do.
Year-End Accounts and Corporation Tax
Statutory accounts, CT600 Corporation Tax return and Companies House filing are included across all four packages. Your deadlines are tracked and met — you will not need to chase or check. This is the compliance core that every limited company needs, handled accurately and on time.
Included in all packagesVAT, Payroll and Director Self Assessment
Quarterly VAT filing and RTI payroll are included from the Operate package, with director Self Assessment also covered. If you are on the Start package and need these, they are available as clearly priced add-ons. No guessing whether something is in or out — it is written down in your quote.
Included from Operate upwardManagement Accounts and Tax Planning
The Grow and Scale packages add quarterly or monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting and proactive tax strategy — so your tax position is visible well before any deadline. For companies scaling fast, the Scale package includes 13-week cash flow modelling and priority on-call advice. You know where you stand every month, not just at year-end.
Included from Grow upwardRated 5.0 on Google across eight reviews
Clients range from newly formed limited companies to established businesses with payroll, VAT and complex income streams — the feedback across all of them covers the same themes.
Fast Turnaround, Transparent Fees, No Corners Cut
“I worked with Daniel at DG Accountancy to review and sign off my sole trader accounts for a time-sensitive mortgage application, and the service was excellent. Daniel was extremely responsive, clear, and professional throughout. He understood exactly what the lender required, turned everything around very quickly without cutting corners. Communication was straightforward and reassuring, which made a potentially stressful part of the mortgage process much easier. Fees were transparent, turnaround was fast, and the work was done thoroughly and accurately. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Daniel to anyone needing reliable accountancy support, particularly where deadlines really matter.”
Great Advice, Saved Money, Switched to Monthly
“Daniel was very helpful with my books and tax return. He offered great advise and insight in how to manage my books better and more efficiently. His knowledge in tax law and what can be used for expenses really helped with saving money where I could. As a sole trader it’s really hard to keep on top of things and have now asked Dan to do monthly books for me. His rates are extremely good compared to some other accountants out there and I get more for my money.”
Patient, Clear, No Jargon Required
“Daniel was very helpful and patient with me when I had no clue what to do and spoke through everything with me and made it clear, couldn’t recommend him enough, thank you again.”
What you get that most firms do not offer
Fixed fees and professional qualifications are table stakes. These are the things that actually differ.
Your Fee in Writing, Before We Start
Every quote is a written document listing what is included, what is not, and what it costs per month. There is no ambiguity about whether your VAT return or director Self Assessment is covered. If it is not in the quote, it will not appear on an invoice.
Questions Answered the Day You Ask
Most small business owners name responsiveness as the single biggest frustration with their current accountant. DG Accountancy is built around the opposite model — you ask a question and get an answer the same day. That is the standard, not the exception.
Twenty Years Across Diverse Industries
Daniel has worked in airlines, construction, manufacturing and entertainment before founding DG Accountancy. That breadth means he has already seen the tax positions, structure questions and cash flow pressures that ambitious limited companies face — and knows what to do about them.
Up and running in four straightforward steps
Most new clients are fully onboarded and handed off to running compliance within a week of their first call.
Book a free discovery call
A short conversation about your company, your current set-up and what you need covered. No sales pitch — just an honest discussion about which package fits and whether we are the right match.
Receive your written fixed-fee quote
You will get a clear, itemised quote in writing. Every service is listed. The monthly fee is confirmed. Nothing is agreed verbally and left to interpretation later.
Xero onboarding and bank connection
Your Xero account is set up — or your existing one tidied — and your bank feeds are connected. If your books are behind, a catch-up is quoted separately before any work begins. Most clients are fully onboarded within a week.
Compliance runs, you focus on the business
Your deadlines are tracked, your returns filed, and your tax position monitored throughout the year. When something needs your attention, you hear about it promptly — not the week before the deadline. Which is, frankly, the way it should work.
“Excellent service providing financial accounts for probate. Quick, efficient and friendly. Would highly recommend.”
Things limited company directors usually ask
What does a limited company accountant typically include for that monthly fee?
At DG Accountancy, the Start package covers year-end statutory accounts, Corporation Tax CT600, and Companies House filing from £79 per month. The Operate package adds VAT, director Self Assessment and payroll for up to three employees from £195 per month. Grow and Scale add management accounts, cash flow forecasting and proactive tax strategy at increasing levels of depth. Every package is listed in full in your quote before anything is agreed.
How is the monthly fee calculated — and what if my needs change?
The fee is based on your company’s structure, turnover, transaction volume and the services you need. It is agreed as a fixed monthly amount, so you are not paying more because you had an unusually busy quarter or asked a few extra questions. If your circumstances change significantly — you take on more employees or add a new revenue stream, for example — the fee is reviewed and the new amount agreed before it changes.
My books are behind and I haven’t filed in a while. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is more common than you might expect. A catch-up bookkeeping quote is prepared separately and agreed before any work starts, so you know the cost upfront. Once the books are current, you move onto a standard monthly package. The process is straightforward; the main variable is how far behind the records are and what state they are in.
Am I locked into a contract if I sign up?
No. There is no minimum term. If after three months it is not working for you, you leave with clean, up-to-date books and nothing further owed. The preference is obviously that you stay — but the arrangement should work for you, and that is difficult to guarantee if leaving feels complicated.
Do you handle the relationship with HMRC directly on my behalf?
Yes. Once you authorise DG Accountancy as your agent, correspondence with HMRC on covered matters is handled directly. That includes VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE and Self Assessment. You will be kept informed of anything that requires your input or signature, but the back-and-forth with HMRC is not something you need to manage yourself.
How far in advance will I know what my Corporation Tax bill is going to be?
With Operate and above, an annual tax review is included so your Corporation Tax liability is visible before the year closes — not after. On Grow and Scale packages, quarterly management accounts and proactive tax planning mean you have a running estimate throughout the year. Surprises at year-end are largely avoidable when the numbers are tracked month by month.
